The Taraba State Unity, Progressive and Reconciliation Forum has declared its firm support for Governor Kefas’s reported plan to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a communiqué released on Wednesday, the forum hailed the governor’s move as a “welcome development,” emphasizing that Governor Kefas decision to join the APC demonstrates his unwavering dedication to the growth and prosperity of Taraba State.
“We welcome His Excellency’s decision to join the APC as a step that will enhance progress and development in our great state. The governor’s leadership and experience will be invaluable assets to our party,” the statement read.
Jointly signed by its chairman, Ibrahim Waziri, and its secretary, Sani Tulu, the forum called on Governor Kefas to join the APC unconditionally, urging him to do so without preconditions that could undermine the party’s principles or values.
It assured him of full support and collaboration from party members to advance the growth and development of the state.

“We wish to assure the governor that he will be received with open arms and given the necessary support to contribute meaningfully to the APC’s mission of building a better Taraba State,” the communiqué continued.
The group further appealed to APC members across Taraba to welcome governor Kefas and his supporters warmly, emphasizing unity and cooperation as key to achieving a stronger, more prosperous state.
“The Taraba State Unity, Progressive and Reconciliation Forum reiterates its readiness to work with the governor and the APC leadership to pursue shared goals and objectives. We are confident that this development will usher in a new era of progress and development in Taraba State,” the forum said.
