Popular Nigerian afrobeat artiste, Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has reacted to his maiden Grammy nomination.
According to findings, Omah Lay earned his first-ever Grammy nomination with his collaborative hit with Davido, ‘With You’, released earlier in 2025 and was nominated for the Best African Music Performance category at the 68th annual Grammy Awards.

Responding to the news via his Instagram page, Omah Lay stated that he was excited about the nomination, however, he added that he doesn’t care about awards.
Additionally, the singer revealed that he wants Davido to win the award, describing him as his realest friend in a while.

“I’m excited about this Grammy nomination haha but fr fr I don’t give a sh!t about awards. Yeah but I really want it for OBO! he is the realest friend I’ve had in while, he stood by during my hardest times,” Omah Lay wrote.
Despite earning four nominations in the past, including two in the Best African Music Performance category—which he has continuously been nominated for since its introduction in 2023—Davido has yet to win a Grammy.

The 2026 Grammy will take place on February 1, 2026, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. It will be aired globally on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.
