Governors Seyi Makinde, Bala Mohammed, and the newly elected National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Taminu Turaki, have reportedly expelled the faction led by Nyesom Wike, FCT Minister, from the party secretariat.

The incident occurred on Monday at the PDP headquarters in Abuja, amid tensions arising from attempts by the rival factions to hold parallel meetings.
It was gathered that both the National Working Committee (NWC) elected in Ibadan, Oyo State, and the Wike-backed faction had scheduled meetings on the same day.

Samuel Anyanwu, National Secretary of the pro-Wike faction, had arrived at Wadata Plaza with some members of his faction, but a fight reportedly broke out at the party secretariat, leading to the Wike faction being chased out of the premises.
However, Makinde, Bala Mohammed, and the party National Chairman Turaki forced their way into the PDP NEC hall to hold their NEC meeting.
