The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Executive Committee (NEC) has established a National Caretaker Committee to oversee the party’s affairs until a national convention is conducted.

The NEC took this decision as the tenure of the current PDP National Working Committee (NWC) is set to expire on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
The resolution was made during the 104th NEC meeting held in Abuja on Sunday.

The 13-member caretaker committee is chaired by PDP factional National Chairman, Hon. Abdulrahman Mohammed, with Senator Samuel Anyanwu serving as Secretary. Other members include Kamaldeen Ajibade, Hon. Umar M. Bature, Dr. Kyari Grema, Hon. Janguda Haruna Mohammed, Barr. Okechukwu Osuana, Senator Nwogu Olaka, Senator Sandy Onor, Prof. Adenike Ogunse, Hon. Bisi Kolawole, Engr. Deji Doherty, and Dr. Ibrahim Bala Aboki.
The Caretaker Committee will manage the party’s affairs for 60 days, during which all pending congresses and the national convention are expected to be conducted.
