The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has urged its new members, who recently defected to the party, to embrace unity of purpose in shaping Nigeria’s future.

The opposition coalition made the appeal on Saturday in a message shared on its official X handle to welcome the new entrants into the party.
It will be recalled that former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, along with other prominent leaders from the South-East, defected to the ADC last Wednesday ahead of the 2027 general election.
“We proudly welcome Distinguished Senators and Honourable Members who have aligned with the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
“Together, we strengthen the movement for people centred leadership and national renewal,” the party wrote in X.
