Abdullahi Ganduje arrived in Lagos on Saturday aboard an Emirates Airlines flight, touching down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport at about 4:30 p.m., before continuing on to Abuja later in the evening.
Sources say the former APC chairman is expected to begin a round of political engagements, including consultations with party leaders and key stakeholders, as part of efforts to address ongoing political developments in Kano State.
In a statement released on Saturday, his Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, said the planned meetings would focus on reviewing recent developments within the party and encouraging constructive engagement among key stakeholders.

The statement also disclosed that Ganduje would be involved in the party’s ongoing nationwide electronic membership registration programme.
The e-registration exercise, introduced during his tenure as national chairman, was designed to digitise and strengthen the party’s membership system, improve internal organisation, and ensure accurate and easily retrievable records.
According to the statement, Abdullahi Ganduje continues to prioritise the consolidation of party structures and the promotion of inclusive dialogue as part of broader efforts to enhance internal democracy within the APC, particularly in Kano State.
“The former governor remains committed to strengthening party structures and promoting inclusive dialogue in support of democratic consolidation within the APC, particularly in Kano State,” the statement added.
