The PDP and NNPP defectors were formally received on Thursday at the Manpower Development Institute (MDI) in Dutse.

Speaking at the event, APC chieftain, Hon. Adamu Indallah, said the new members joined the party because of what he described as the APC’s good leadership and performance at all levels of governance.

He explained that the decampees who were notable figures in the opposition parties for years have now with all their followers joined the APC to support the second term bid of President Bola Ahmad Tinubu and Governor Umar Namadi.

Indallah assured party members that he would continue to give his full support to ensure the APC’s success in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on behalf of the PDP and NNPPdefectors, former NNPP stalwart and former candidate for Buji Local Government and State Assembly elections, Engr. Balarabe Umar, said their decision to join the APC was informed by the visionary, people-centred and results-driven leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi.

Umar noted that the implementation of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, in synergy with Governor Namadi’s 12-point development blueprint, had begun to deliver clear socio-economic gains to the people, especially in livelihood enhancement, youth empowerment and inclusive governance.

He reaffirmed the loyalty of the new members to the APC and pledged their total commitment to working tirelessly for the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Namadi in the 2027 general elections.
