Dust haze and sunshine are expected throughout the nation from Sunday to Tuesday, according to the Nigerian Meteorological Agency(NiMet).
A slight dust haze was predicted for Sunday across portions of Borno, Jigawa, Katsina, Kano, Zamfara, and Sokoto States in the weather outlook, which was announced in Abuja on Saturday.
The agency forecast the remaining parts of the North to be sunny throughout the forecast period.
NiMet stated that throughout the forecast period, bright sky with minor cloud patches are anticipated across the central region. It further stated that over the southern region, bright skies with cloud patches are expected.

Over portions of Abia, Imo, Anambra, Edo, Ekiti, Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ogun, Lagos, Delta, Bayelsa, Cross River, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom States, the agency said, there is a chance of isolated thunderstorms with light rain later in the day.
It stated that portions of Kano, Katsina, Bauchi, Gombe, Yobe, Jigawa, and Borno States are expected to experience moderate dust haze on Monday, with visibility values ranging from 2 to 5 km.
NiMet also predicts that later in the day, there is a chance of isolated thunderstorms with light rain over portions of the states of Abia, Imo, Anambra, Edo, Ekiti, Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ogun, Lagos, Delta, Bayelsa, Cross River, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom.

It stated that on Monday, there would be a moderate dust haze over portions of Kano, Katsina, Bauchi, Gombe, Yobe, Jigawa, and Borno States, with visibility values ranging from 2 to 5 kilometres.
The agency envisaged the remaining parts of the North to be sunny and hazy throughout the forecast period. During the forecast period, the central region is expected to get bright skies with a few isolated cloud patches.
Cloudy skies with sunny intervals are anticipated over the southern region during morning hours.
Later in the day, NiMet predicts thunderstorms with moderate rains are anticipated over parts of Bayelsa, Ogun, Ondo, Edo, Rivers and Cross Rivers States
