Nigerian Army disrupts Boko Haram logistics network in North East
The battle to restore total peace in the North East has taken a very significant turn as the Nigerian Army targets the “koko” of the insurgency: the supply chain.
In a major breakthrough reported this February 2026, the Joint Task Force Operation HADIN KAI has proven that they are not just fighting on the front lines but are also effectively dismantling the hidden networks that keep these terrorists running.

As a professional editor who has followed this conflict for years, I can tell you that arresting the people who provide the food, bullets, and technology is often more impactful than a hundred skirmishes in the bush. Without a steady supply of resources, the “ginger” of the insurgents quickly turns into a struggle for survival, and that is exactly what our troops are achieving in Adamawa and Borno states.
High tech terror as troops intercept drone suppliers in Adamawa
Perhaps the most chilling part of this update is the revelation that the bad guys are trying to “level up” with modern technology. Troops of Sector 4, working under the 28 Task Force Brigade, made a massive catch in the Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
They arrested 64 year old Dauda Usman Gubula, a man who is allegedly a specialist in supplying drones to these terrorists. The military recovered two aerial drones, various accessories, and twenty solar power banks from him.
This is “no be small thing” because it shows that Boko Haram is increasingly using drones to monitor troop movements and launch attacks. By cutting off this technological pipeline, the Army has saved countless lives of soldiers and civilians who would have otherwise been targeted from the sky.
In a separate move in Hong LGA, a 28 year old logistics supplier named Ismail Muhammed was also apprehended with military gear and ammunition, further choking the group’s ability to sustain their operations.

Neutralizing commanders and informants to protect local communities
While the arrests were making headlines, the kinetic part of the operation was also yielding results. Around the Visik River line, an ambush by our gallant troops led to the neutralization of a notorious terrorist commander known as Abdullahi Mafa.
Recovering an AK 47 rifle and a loaded magazine from such a high ranking insurgent is a big win for the local communities that have been living in fear of his commands.
Over in Borno State, the synergy between the military, local vigilantes, and the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) proved too strong for an informant who was trying to breach defensive positions in Ngamdu.
This collaborative effort shows that when the community and the military “join head,” there is no hiding place for those who wish to cause wahala for the innocent.
Why cutting off the supply chain is the real game changer
As we look at these developments, it is clear that the Military High Command is focusing on a “total war” strategy. It is not enough to just repel attacks; the goal now is to starve the insurgency of every possible advantage.
From foodstuffs and magazines to sophisticated aerial drones, the recovery of these items sends a strong message that the net is closing in. This “sustained tempo” is what Nigerians have been praying for.

For the common man in the North East, seeing the Army arrest the “senior men” who coordinate logistics gives them the confidence to return to their farms and markets. The fight is far from over, but with these tactical wins against suppliers and collaborators, the path to a more secure and stable Nigeria is becoming much clearer.

We must continue to support our troops as they make these sacrifices to ensure we can all sleep with both eyes closed.
