The Bauchi State governor warned that the APC must be vigilant in handling its primary elections to prevent internal crises that could trigger a collapse similar to what befell the PDP.
Bala Mohammed made the remarks while speaking to journalists after a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Addressing his ongoing rift with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory over leadership positions within the PDP, the governor maintained that he does not feel isolated within the party.

He said: “The APC will need to watch their backs after the primaries, as they are growing larger, much like the PDP.
“The PDP expanded and ultimately exploded, not imploded.
“I do not feel lonely because I understand my state, and my intention is to stay back and observe how elections are won at the polling booth. Elections are won locally, not nationally.”
