Uzor Arukwe has responded to the controversy surrounding his on-screen role alongside actress and reality TV star Bamike Olawunmi-Adenibuyan.
In an interview with BBC Igbo, Arukwe dismissed rumours claiming he had a romantic relationship with the married actress after they appeared together in a film.
The actor explained that he was very mindful while filming and made sure to discuss boundaries with Bambam before performing scenes that required physical contact.
According to him, he was careful not to do anything that could put her marriage at risk.
“Before I touched her, I asked her if there was any way I could touch her that her husband wouldn’t like or that might cause problems at home,” he said.
Uzor Arukwe further debunked claims that the two were intimate off-screen, revealing that he had never met Bambam before they began shooting the movie.
“That movie was the first time I had ever met her. But people started saying we slept together and were dating, which was completely false,” Uzor Arukwe added.
