United States President, Donald Trump has hinted at a possible wind-down of military operations against Iran as the conflict involving the US and Israel enters its 21st day.

In a statement released on his Truth Social account on Friday night, Trump revealed the information, implying that Washington is very near to accomplishing its goals in the Middle East.

He claimed that in addition to targeting important leadership figures, the US-Israel operation has severely undermined Iran’s military capabilities, especially its missile systems.

The president of the United States reaffirmed that American soldiers would keep defending regional allies like Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Israel.

Additionally, he emphasised the Strait of Hormuz’s strategic significance and the need to defend it.

“We are getting very close to meeting our objectives as we consider winding down our great military efforts in the Middle East with respect to the terrorist regime of Iran: (1) completely degrading Iranian missile capability, launchers, and everything else pertaining to them. (2) Destroying Iran’s Defense Industrial Base. (3) Eliminating their Navy and Air

Force, including anti-aircraft weaponry. (4) Never allowing Iran to get even close to nuclear capability, and always being in a position where the U.S.A. can quickly and powerfully react to such a situation, should it take place. (5) Protecting, at the highest level, our Middle Eastern allies, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, and others.

“The Hormuz Strait will have to be guarded and policed, as necessary, by other nations who use it—the United States does not! If asked, we will help these countries in their Hormuz efforts, but it shouldn’t be necessary once Iran’s threat is eradicated. Importantly, it will be an easy military operation for them. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump wrote.

Meanwhile, tension remains high as Iran’s Quds Force commander, Esmail Qaani, vowed “more surprises” in attacks targeting the US, Israel, and their allies.

In a further development, a statement purporting to be from Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, declared victory over Israeli and US forces and boasted that Iran had dealt its enemies a “dizzying blow.”

Trump, however, insisted that all the Islamic Republic’s leaders have been “all gone,” thereby dismantling the country’s governing system.
