Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has revealed that he closely monitors media reports, noting that he personally keeps track of what those he describes as his “enemies” say about him.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja, the minister explained that he regularly follows prime-time news on major Nigerian television stations such as AIT, TVC News, and Channels Television.
Wike stated that he prefers to stay directly informed rather than rely on aides or third parties for updates on public discussions about him.
He added that this routine often continues late into the night, as he sometimes revisits broadcasts around midnight to ensure he is fully updated before going to bed.
“I watch news all the time, AIT News, I will watch, TVC News, Channels, I watch all of them.
“I don’t wait for anyone to come and tell me what my enemies are saying about me, I hear it by myself.
“So you can see that I know the time, even by 12 I still come back to watch everything, I make sure that I watch before I go and sleep.”
