A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former Kano State Governor, Kabiru Gaya, has alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is intimidated by the ADC.
Kabiru Gaya made this claim on Wednesday while speaking during an interview on Arise Television.
He further alleged that the ruling party is attempting to undermine the ADC, similar to how it weakened the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other opposition parties.
The former governor also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to remain impartial, urging the commission to operate with honesty and fairness while providing a level playing field for all political parties.
“I know the major party is working hard against us. They were not worried at all before, because they have crashed the PDP and other parties. But they didn’t know that ADC was coming up.
“The members of the ADC are totally committed to making sure the party becomes successful. We are doing our best, and we have gone through so many hurdles. We’ve crossed those hurdles, and we believe some of us are old politicians,” he said.
