The petition, dated April 22, 2026, was submitted at the APC’s national secretariat in Abuja and addressed to the President and other party leaders.

It was presented to journalists by Hon. Olosasa Toyin and co-signed by Comrade Onimasa Hazmat Ganeey and Alhaji Abdulraheem Alabi, who described themselves as concerned APC members in the state. please the passive voice thing as well

In the document, the group accused the governor of “de-marketing” the party through what they termed unpopular policies, inadequate handling of security issues, and alleged marginalisation of party members and the public.

They further alleged that AbdulRazaq is attempting to position the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Danladi Yakubu, as his preferred successor in 2027, warning that such a move could spark internal conflict within the party.

According to the stakeholders, some APC leaders say the government is hindering their efforts to contribute to development and allegedly targeting dissenting voices through legal and security channels.

The group also claimed that the governor’s actions have negatively impacted his popularity, particularly in Kwara Central and Kwara South senatorial districts, describing him as a potential liability to the party’s electoral prospects.

On reports of moves to revisit the 2018 Offa robbery case involving former Senate President Bukola Saraki, the stakeholders described the development as politically motivated.

They warned that such actions could generate sympathy for Saraki and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), potentially affecting the APC’s chances in future elections.

The petitioners called on President Tinubu and the APC party leadership to step in, cautioning against actions that could deepen divisions and weaken the party’s structure in Kwara State.
