Speaking to journalists after picking up the forms in Abuja, Arise expressed strong confidence in emerging victorious.

The former senator, who said he has visited all 56 wards in Ekiti North Senatorial District to engage party leaders and supporters, pledged to build on his achievements during his tenure from 2007 to 2011.

Ayo Arise also revealed that he has assembled about 7,000 canvassers to mobilise party members in support of his ambition, noting that his decision to contest stems from a desire to serve and improve the lives of the people.

“God has blessed me beyond measure. I am not in need. I am contesting to further develop society and uplift the people. I want to remind our people that there are still opportunities to make meaningful impact as a representative.

“Many are in the race for money and fame, but I am not driven by such motives. God has elevated me beyond that, and I intend to continue serving Him by dedicating myself to the people,” he said.

Ayo Arise also appreciated APC leaders and supporters for their trust, describing the warm reception he received during his tour as proof that voters value competence, hard work, performance, and humility over sentiment-driven politics and self-serving agendas.

“Our agenda is straightforward and unmatched. It is time to create wealth, generate employment, and improve the well-being of our people. During my first term, I facilitated the establishment of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE). I also supported the development of health centres, libraries, and provided electricity and water across communities in Ekiti North, alongside impactful empowerment programmes.

“My experience, passion, and commitment to serve remain strong. It is time for Ekiti people, particularly in Ekiti North, to send capable representatives to support Governor Biodun Oyebanji in driving development across the state.

“Our governor is already making significant progress, and having competent representation at the National Assembly will further strengthen these efforts,” he added.

The Oye-Ekiti-born politician urged APC members to stay united and focused on the party’s success, especially in the upcoming governorship and 2027 general elections.

Ayo Arise also assured them that party members would no longer be taken for granted without adequate recognition or reward.
