Alex Otti on Friday received the Labour Party’s nomination forms free of charge from the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) during a presentation ceremony held at the Abia State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.
Leading the delegation was the Labour Party National Chairman, Nenadi Usman, who praised Governor Otti for being a shining example of the party’s values through his leadership and governance in Abia State.
She explained that the free nomination forms were given in recognition of his impressive performance in office and as motivation for him to continue delivering good governance to the people of the state.

Also speaking at the event, the party’s National Secretary, Obioma Iheanacho, commended Otti for remaining loyal and committed to the Labour Party despite the internal crisis that caused many members to defect to other political parties.
In his response, Governor Otti expressed appreciation to the NWC for the gesture, assuring the party of his continued support and commitment. He also applauded Senator Nenadi Usman for her role in resolving the party’s prolonged leadership crisis.
The governor stated that all legal issues affecting the party had been settled, expressing confidence that the Labour Party was now fully prepared for the next general elections without any pending litigation.
Other top party officials present at the ceremony included National Organising Secretary Mrs. Oluchi Oparah, National Woman Leader Hilda Dokubo, and National Publicity Secretary Ken Asogwa.
Former Labour Party National Secretary, Darlington Nwokocha, also received his nomination form free of charge during the event. Members of the House of Representatives from Abia State, led by Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, as well as members of the Abia State Executive Council, were also in attendance.
