President Bola Tinubu has emerged the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate after beating Stanley Osifo.
Recall that the APC conducted its presidential primaries across 8,809 wards nationwide, and the president defeated his lone challenger with 10.99 million votes against 16,504.
This emerged from the ongoing national collation of the presidential primaries results at the President Bola Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.
APC governors from 31 states, alongside other party leaders serving as state coordinators and collation officers, submitted the results of the direct primaries to the Presidential Primary Election Committee chaired by former Senate President Pius Anyim.
Meanwhile, Osifo recorded notable figures in some states, including Niger with 5,248 votes, Kano with 2,675, Lagos with 1,186, Abia with 1,007, Oyo with 929, Benue with 779, and Nasarawa with 768.
In contrast, President Tinubu won 100 percent of the votes across all 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
