Amid ongoing collation for the ADC presidential primary, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has been declared the winner across Wards in Abia State on Monday.
Atiku scored 25,153 votes to beat his closest challenger, Rotimi Amaechi.
Amaechi, a former Minister of Transportation and former Governor of Rivers State, came second in the Abia presidential primary with 18,339 votes.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Hayatu-deen, a businessman, received 3,264 votes after finishing in third place.
The Returning Officer, Onyebuchi Chukwu announced the result, following the exercise.
Meanwhile, ADC Publicity Secretary in Abia, Francess Olisa Ogbonnaya, praised party members in Arochukwu for their peaceful conduct and strong turnout during the primary.
In addition, security agencies monitored the peaceful presidential primary held in Abia State.
