Music artiste Ice Prince has responded to the backlash over his controversial appearance at the 2026 All Progressives Congress (APC) national convention.
Recall that Ice Prince was criticized for performing at the ruling party’s event at a time when the country is facing rising insecurity and economic challenges. Many critics felt he should have used his platform to call out the government instead of entertaining at a political gathering.
Addressing the issue on the Black Box podcast, he said his decision to perform was influenced by his personal connection to the APC National Chairman.
He explained that the event was booked through his “uncle,” Nentawe Yilwatda, whom he described as a close family relative and not just a political contact.
