The Defence Minister, Gen Christopher Musa (retd.), has stated that the ongoing Iran, Israeli conflict is having adverse effect on the Nigerian military.
He stated on Saturday that the crisis between Iran, Israel, Us. Russia and Ukraine is making it difficult for Nigeria and other countries to procure military equipment needed to tackle insecurity, causing a shortage in military equipment.
The minister also decried also decried the absence of a comprehensive national database, adding that it is hampering the efforts of security agencies, particularly the police, in tracking criminals and preventing crimes across the country.
He revealed this while delivering a keynote address at the Nigerian People’s Strategic Conference and Defence Exhibition 2026 in Abuja.
