Nigerian actor Deyemi Okanlawon has opened up about why he stepped away from acting.
Speaking during a recent interview on the CreativiTea podcast, the movie star revealed that he quit acting in 2019 due to dissatisfaction with both the quality of work and the pay.
According to Deyemi, he felt unfulfilled in the industry and believed the compensation did not match the effort he was putting in.
He explained that after leaving his 9-to-5 job to pursue acting, it became frustrating to wake up every day for work that no longer gave him purpose or satisfaction.
Deyemi added that this led him to step away from acting and return to a regular 9-to-5 job at the time.
