Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has issued an emotional plea for financial help as she battles a serious illness, revealing a three-week hospital stay ahead of three scheduled surgeries.
The actress shared a poignant video from her hospital bed on Instagram this Thursday, visibly distressed as she begged fans, friends, and family not to abandon her during this crisis.
Addressing her online community, Nwosu clarified that her medical struggles caused her recent disappearance from the public eye.
She said, “My people, my fans and my family, I know that you’ve not seen me in circulation for some time. I’ve been hospitalized now for three weeks. Please, the thing has gone beyond my control. I need your help, don’t let me die.”
The veteran actress expressed hope that she would overcome her health struggle, while begging for financial support as severe pain continues to torment her.
“I know that you people never forsake me and I know that God will always see me through, but I’m begging you, my friends and family, don’t let me die because I am going through a lot as in pain.”
Speaking further in the widely shared emotional clip, Ngozi Nwosu also urged anyone willing to assist to contact her management team, concluding her appeal with a prayer.
“My sickness will never be anybody’s portion. In Jesus’ name, thank you,” she added.
Although the actress omitted the specific nature of her illness, she revealed in a prior appeal that her three required surgeries will cost approximately ₦30 million.

Ngozi Nwosu born August 1, 1963 is native of Arochukwu in Abia State. She is a Nigerian actress and producer. She began her acting career in Yoruba-language films before making her home-video debut with Living in Bondage, an Igbo-language film.
Ngozi Nwosu became the first Nigerian actress to perform an on-screen kiss during a romantic scene with Kenneth Okonkwo. She also gained widespread recognition for her role as Peace in the sitcom Fuji House of Commotion, produced by Amaka Igwe.

Meanwhile, her appeal comes just months after Nwosu opened up about her failed marriage, revealing that she ended the relationship because of persistent domestic violence. Speaking during a recent interview, the veteran actress recounted how she chose to walk away to protect her life and well-being, saying no marriage was worth enduring abuse.
