Former Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna, has filed a N500 million lawsuit against content creator Carter Efe over his claim that they had an intimate relationship.
The dispute began after Davido’s associate and streamer, Davrel, allegedly claimed that Carter Efe had described Phyna as being “of no benefit.”
In response, Phyna publicly confronted Davrel over an alleged unpaid debt.
The exchange later intensified when Davrel accused Phyna of making inappropriate advances towards him and alleged that she had asked him to introduce her to his father.
During a separate confrontation between Phyna and Carter Efe in a video shared on social media, Carter allegedly claimed they had been sexually involved.
When Phyna asked if they had ever been intimate, Carter responded in the affirmative and claimed he could provide evidence to support his assertion.
Phyna immediately rejected the claim and warned that both Carter Efe and Davrel would be hearing from her legal team.
Addressing the controversy during an Instagram Live session on Thursday, Phyna apologised to her fans, admitting that the recent events had changed her perspective on handling public disputes.
She acknowledged that while she had endured various forms of criticism in the past, allegations concerning her personal and sexual life were unacceptable.
The reality star said she had decided to stop responding to controversies through social media outbursts and would instead pursue legal action against anyone who defamed her.
Phyna disclosed that Carter Efe and Davrel had been served with legal documents, urging them to check their email and WhatsApp messages.
Confirming the lawsuit, Carter Efe later revealed in a video that he had been sued for N500 million.
