BREAKING: Federal Mortgage Bank Abuja Engulfed in Flames

The headquarters of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, FMBN, located in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja is currently engulfed in flames.

Witnesses stated that the fire began on the fourth floor of the structure.

An eye witness, Anthony Ameh, who is Zenith Bank employee based in the Mortgage Bank building, confirmed to newsmen that the fire is burning fiercely.

Similarly, a Facebook user, Praises Chukwu, also shared photos of the incident, “Federal Mortgage Bank of Abuja, opposite CBN, currently on fire.

According to him, Federal Fire Service personnel who arrived to contain the blaze could not bring the situation under control.

At the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire incident remains unknown. Authorities are also yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
