Tinubu: No Tolerance for Political Agendas Threatening Nigeria”
In a nationwide address, President Bola Tinubu vowed that his administration would not allow a small group with political motives to destabilize Nigeria. Speaking in response to the ongoing national protests against economic hardship, Tinubu emphasized his duty to maintain public order and protect citizens’ lives and property.
He called for protesters and organizers to suspend further demonstrations and open a dialogue, stressing the need for unity across all divides to reshape the nation’s destiny. Tinubu warned those exploiting the situation to incite violence or ethnic bigotry that the law would hold them accountable.
Expressing sorrow over the loss of lives and property damage in states like Borno, Jigawa, Kano, and Kaduna, Tinubu acknowledged the economic hardships facing the country. He defended the controversial removal of fuel subsidies and changes to the foreign exchange system as necessary steps to correct long-term economic mismanagement.
