“NDLEA Nabs Businessman Who Excreted 88 Cocaine Wraps at MMIA”

A Vietnam-bound businessman, Paul Okwuy Mbadugha, was arrested at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport after excreting 88 wraps of cocaine weighing 1.710 kilograms. He claimed the drugs were given to him by a friend in Lagos for delivery in Vietnam in exchange for $2,000.

Meanwhile, at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport, NDLEA officers intercepted 800 grams of synthetic cannabis concealed in noodles bound for Congo, leading to the arrest of the sender, Nnamani Sunday Sunny. Additionally, a suspect, Desalu Taophic Temitope, was caught with 65.80 kilograms of cannabis imported from Canada.

Lastly, NDLEA operatives seized 892,400 bottles of codeine syrup valued at N6.25 billion during a joint operation at the Port Harcourt Ports Complex, Onne. The syrup, shipped from India, was discovered in five containers.
