Gbajabiamila: Nigeria to Be Off FATF Grey List by 2025.

The Presidency is committed to ensuring Nigeria’s removal from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Grey List before the May 2025 deadline, according to Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President. During a visit to the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) in Abuja, Gbajabiamila pledged to address the deficiencies that led to Nigeria’s listing. He emphasized the urgency of completing the remaining tasks to meet FATF requirements, stressing the need for continuous efforts to protect Nigeria’s financial system from threats like money laundering and terrorism financing.
