Co Grammy Award winner, Wizkid, also known as Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, recently reacted on social media to a trending video of him greeting DJ Tunez at an event.
Over the weekend, Wizkid, known for his hit song “Essence,” showed support for his DJ Tunez at his “Koko London” show in the UK.
During the event, DJ Tunez delighted fans by playing Wizkid’s popular song “Ojuelegba,” sparking excitement among the audience.

Shortly after, DJ Tunez and Wizkid exchanged a hand gesture, often interpreted as a greeting associated with a cult. DJ Tunez, wearing a white top, raised his hand to Wizkid, who promptly responded by raising both hands and clasping them together.
Reactions
An X user identified as Ahlex who is aware of the video confirms that Wizkid and his disc jockey, DJ Tunez are into cultism.
He wrote; “The meaning of that other hand covering dj tunes had mean say e senior am for rank.”
Wizkid reacted to the viral clip on his Instagram Stories, where he has 18.4 million followers.
In response, Wizkid seemed unaffected and unbothered, choosing to mock the netizens instead. He wrote, “Una mama,” accompanied by a laughing emoji.

Michael Babatunde Adeyinka, also known as DJ Tunez is a Nigerian-American disc jockey. In 2015, DJ Tunez was asked by Wizkid to join Starboy Entertainment, as the official label DJ,[1] DJ Tunez first production was in 2016’s Iskaba,[2] a contagious hit song with Wande Coal.[3] He has collaborated with other acts such as Wizkid, Sarz, Burna Boy, Busiswa, Reekado Banks, Damibliz, Omah Lay and many more.
Early life
Michael Babatunde Adeyinka was born in Brooklyn Long Island Hospital, New York, USA.[4] His dream began after DJing his local church’s Christmas parties as a teen. This eventually grew into paid gigs DJing church members’ events such as birthday parties and weddings.[5] His African community in South Brooklyn began to take a fancy to his ability to play music with an afrobeats and dancehall inspired atmosphere to audience, the little attention encouraged him to throw parties around the city.

In 2016 DJ Tunez collaborated with Wande Coal to dish out ‘Iskaba’, what Okayafrica described as Nigeria 2nd Best song of 2017.[6] In 2019 DJ Tunez released a single featuring Wizkid titled “Gbese”,[7] “Turn Up” Featuring Wizkid & Reekado Banks,[8] with supplementary vocals from Rema.[9] DJ Tunez event,[10] a Black Friday “Blackout” party,[11] brought about 1,700 people to Queens’ Amazura Concert Hall in November 2019.[12]
Featured as a guest panelist at a business forum held at Columbia University in 2019, Michael Babatunde Adeyinka Also known as DJ Tunez joined other leaders in the music industry to discuss the business of art and literature on the African continent.
