Afrobeats singer Ruger has said a woman’s financial status is not a factor he considers when choosing a partner, explaining that his own financial success means it is not a priority for him.
Speaking during a recent livestream with streamer Shank, the singer revealed that he has previously dated women who were unemployed and did not have a source of income.
“A woman’s financial status doesn’t matter to me. I’m already rich. I’ve dated girls who didn’t make money. They would just sleep and wake up,” he said.
When asked about the qualities he values in a partner, Ruger said his ideal woman is someone with a good sense of humour.
The singer also disclosed that he is looking forward to settling down, adding that constantly relying on takeout meals because no one cooks for him at home is one of the reasons he wants to get married.
“I keep ordering takeout because there’s no one at home to cook for me. That’s one of the reasons I want to settle down,” he said.
During the livestream, Ruger further revealed that he has earned more than $2 million so far this year.
