According to House spokesman Rep. Akin Rotimi Jr., the clarification comes after the Nigeria Police Force, the case’s primary investigation body, released its formal report. He went on to say that the House wanted to avoid rumours by providing the public with correct information.

The victim, thought to have been a labourer at a building site within the complex, was discovered inside the vehicle at approximately nine in the morning, according to Rotimi, who cited the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, of the National Assembly Division.
