The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has said it is positioning itself to produce competent leaders capable of steering Nigeria toward meaningful development and national transformation.
In a statement posted on its official X handle on Wednesday, the party made the remark while reacting to its ongoing gubernatorial screening exercise ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The ADC noted that more than 80 aspirants participated in the screening process across various states, describing the level of participation as a sign of growing national interest in the party.

According to the party, the large turnout reflects increasing public confidence in the ADC as a platform for credible leadership, democratic inclusion, grassroots development, and national renewal.
It added that the exercise brought together aspirants from different parts of the country who share a commitment to accountability, purposeful governance, and public service.
The party further stated that it remains committed to strengthening internal democracy and presenting candidates who are prepared to drive national progress.
“The movement is growing. Hope is rising across Nigeria,” the party said.
