The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is attempting to disrupt its planned opposition summit scheduled to take place in Ibadan, Oyo State.
In a post on X, the ADC’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, claimed that intelligence gathered by the party indicates plans to frustrate and possibly scatter the event billed for April 25.
According to him, this is not an isolated incident, as the opposition has repeatedly faced hurdles in its attempts to hold meetings. He referenced earlier situations in Abuja where access to venues reportedly became difficult at the last minute.

Abdullahi of ADC accused the ruling party of persistently placing obstacles before opposition gatherings, saying the latest development reflects a pattern of intimidation.
He also stated that despite these alleged efforts, the ADC remains firm and will proceed with the summit as planned, insisting that its mission is focused on the interests of Nigerians.
“We will not be deterred because we stand with the Nigerian people,” he said, maintaining that previous attempts to halt their activities would not succeed.
