The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has warned content creators and individuals to stop using its name, logo, uniforms, and other official symbols without permission in skits and online content.
The anti-graft agency issued the warning following a rise in digital creators featuring the Commission in comedy sketches and other productions without authorization.
In a video posted on X, the EFCC said many of these portrayals misrepresent its values and operational procedures, stressing that it has not approved any such use of its identity.
The Commission clarified that it does not endorse, sponsor, or support any form of entertainment content that uses its name or branding without written consent.

It further directed the public to immediately stop using its identity, including logos, uniforms, and other recognizable elements, in skits or promotional materials without prior approval.
The EFCC warned that anyone who violates this directive will face prosecution, adding that its identity must only be used with official written clearance.
