The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company(AEDC), has announced that residents in parts of Gwarinpa, Dawaki, News Engineering, France Engineering, Charley Boy, and surrounding communities of a scheduled power interruption.
A statement released by the firm on Friday said that on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. AEDC, the Transmission firm of Nigeria (TCN) will perform maintenance on the 60MVA Transformer TR1 at the Katampe Transmission Substation.”
It emphasized that the maintenance work is part of ongoing efforts to enhance service reliability and improve power supply to the affected communities.
Residents were asked to be patient and the utility provider expressed regret for any inconvenience.
