Nigerian content creator and streamer Carter Efe has reacted mockingly to Babcock University’s decision to take legal action against him over alleged certificate forgery.
The university recently announced plans to pursue legal steps after Carter Efe claimed during an interview with Egungun of Lagos that he graduated from the institution with a First Class degree. He later shared what was alleged to be a fake certificate on X, sparking widespread reactions online.
Following his claims, Babcock University stated that it would take legal action against those behind the alleged forgery.
Responding to the controversy during a live stream, Carter Efe appeared to ridicule the university’s legal threat, saying he would only show up if they paid a N100,000 ticket fee to see him.
“I heard Babcock University is looking for me. You won’t see me. You will pay N100,000 for a ticket before you can see me in Babcock, and we are coming soon,” Carter Efe said.
BACKSTROY:
The controversy began after Carter Efe, during an interview with Egungun of Lagos, claimed he studied Biochemistry at the university and finished with top honours. He later shared a certificate on X to back up his claim.
However, the certificate quickly sparked doubts, prompting Babcock University to distance itself from the document and announce plans to take legal action against those behind the alleged forgery.
Amid the backlash, Carter Efe responded during a live stream, appearing to mock the institution’s legal threat and insisting they would have to pay before getting access to him.
