Ron Kenoly, a renowned American Christian worship leader, singer, and songwriter, has passed away at the age of 81.
Although, the cause of death has not been disclosed, the popular gospel singer reportedly passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. On social media, a number of artists have confirmed his passing.

Nigerian gospel preacher Nathaniel Bassey lauded Kenoly and referred to him as an inspiration for the next generation after learning of the tragedy.
“Dr Ron Kenoly crosses to yonder side. Thank you for inspiring generations of psalmists like me. I grew up on these songs, and today others are growing up on ours. Thank you, sir,” Bassey wrote on Instagram.

Ron Kenoly had nine GMA Dove Award nominations over his career, and in 1997, Welcome Home won Praise & Worship Album of the Year.
