British-Nigerian Heavyweight Boxer, Anthony Joshua, and Family Attend Late Friends’ Funeral Prayer in London
Anthony Joshua’s late friends’ funeral prayer is set to take place on Sunday in London for the close associates of the two-time heavyweight boxing champion who lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Nigeria. The solemn ceremony will honor the memory of Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif Kevin Ayodele, whose deaths shocked fans of the boxer around the world.

The Janaza prayer will be held at the London Central Mosque, where many mourners are expected to gather in large numbers. A funeral for Ghami is expected to take place at Hendon Cemetery and Crematorium from noon, while Anthony Joshua’s associates’ funeral prayer will also be followed by a wake for the deceased trainers.
The wake is scheduled to take place from around 3pm at Cavendish Banqueting Hall in Northwest London. The gathering is expected to attract friends, family members, and members of the boxing community who will come together to pay their final respects.

Thirty-six-year-old Joshua was a passenger in a Lexus SUV that collided with a stationary truck during the fatal accident. He sustained minor injuries and was later discharged from the hospital on New Year’s Eve, while Anthony Joshua’s associates’ funeral prayer preparations continued in the United Kingdom.
The bodies of Ghami and Ayodele were earlier repatriated to the United Kingdom ahead of the funeral arrangements. Both men were regarded as integral members of Joshua’s inner circle, playing key roles in his training, preparation, and professional career.

Their deaths have cast a sombre shadow over what was meant to be a celebratory period for the boxer. Joshua, who has Nigerian roots and was born in Watford, had travelled to Nigeria for a holiday after his victory over Jake Paul in Miami on December 19.
