Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abuja on Saturday.

The trio joined other prominent political figures at the colloquium of former Sokoto State Governor, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, titled “Leadership, Service and Statesmanship at 60.”
The event, held at the New Event Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, was organized to mark Tambuwal’s 60th birthday and drew political leaders, policymakers, and key stakeholders from across the country.
In a post via his X handle, Atiku said that he had arrived at the venue for the colloquium organised to mark Tambuwal’s milestone birthday.

Atiku shared photos of himself, Obasanjo and Peter Obi at the event.
He wrote, “I just arrived at the New Event Hall, Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, for the Tambuwal Colloquium—Leadership, Service and Statesmanship at 60, to mark the 60th birthday of H.E. Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, @AWTambuwal, Mutawallen Sokoto” in Abuja on Saturday.
The ceremony was held at the New Event Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, in honour of the 60th birthday of Tambuwal and it attracted political leaders, politicians and stakeholders from across the country.
Recall that Peter Obi recently defected from the Labour Party to the African National Congress (ADC) some days ago in preparation for the general elections in 2027.
