BREAKING: Bandits strike Kano again, kill one, abduct APC chairman

Bandits have reportedly launched attacks on Kano State communities for a third consecutive day, leaving at least one person dead and resulting in the abduction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman for Rogo Local Government Area.

A local source, speaking anonymously to DAILY POST, revealed that the latest raid occurred in Beli village, Rogo LGA, where gunmen invaded the area around 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The attackers opened fire indiscriminately, killing a local resident and abducting the local party chairman, Alhaji Audu Fanka Salisu Yahaya.

Yahaya is reported to be an associate of the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Ismail Falgore, who hails from the affected local government area.

Reports also indicate that a young man was killed during the assault, while several other residents sustained gunshot injuries.

The incident was corroborated by multiple Facebook posts from local residents calling on security agencies and relevant authorities to intervene urgently.

This latest raid forms part of a series of attacks targeting rural communities in the area since Sunday.

On Sunday, suspected bandits invaded Chiromawa in Garin Malam Local Government Area, reportedly killing three people and abducting an elderly resident.

It was subsequently reported that the abducted man managed to escape from his captors.

On Monday night, terrorists launched an attack on the neighboring Rantan community in Bebeji Local Government Area in Kano state, resulting in two recorded fatalities.

The latest raid in Beli marks the third consecutive day of reported violence, worsening security concerns across portions of Kano State.

Security agencies have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incidents.
