In a statement released on Thursday, APC Agatu LGA Chairman, Hon. Habibu Saidu, clarified that the party is not organizing any such event.
He stressed that neither he nor the Benue State Working Committee of the party, led by Comrade Austin Agada, has authorized any decamping ceremony or rally in Agatu.

“The APC under my leadership in Agatu LGA is not organizing any decamping ceremony or rally for members, and no meetings or gatherings have been approved for Saturday,” Saidu said.
“The notice circulating on social media should be ignored by all APC members and the good people of Agatu. It is fake news and misinformation.”

The Benue party State Working Committee has also directed all members in Agatu LGA to stay away from the purported event, warning that noncompliance could attract disciplinary action.
