Annual school fees totaling N12 million? That’s quite steep.
Herbert Wigwe University, founded by the late former CEO of Access Holdings, Herbert Wigwe, is set to welcome its first batch of students.
Located in Isiokpo, Rivers State, the university offers programs across four colleges: Management and Social Sciences, Arts, Science and Computing, and Engineering.
Fees at the university are reportedly high, making it potentially the most expensive in the country. The least expensive college, Arts, charges N9.6 million in total fees, while Engineering, Management and Social Sciences, and Science and Computing each charge ₦11,998,800.
These fees cover various expenses such as tuition, books, laboratory supplies, and accommodation. Speaking of accommodation, options range from luxury single bedroom apartments to classic plans, with prices varying from ₦1,000,000 to ₦3,845,000 per session.
The university allows fees to be paid in two installments per session, and domestic students can pay in naira, while international students have the option to pay in dollars. This approach aims to attract a diverse and international student body.
