The Central Bank of Nigeria has once again sold $10,000 to Bureau De Change operators at the rate of N1,101 per dollar.
The Central Bank of Nigeria has once again announced the sale of dollars to Bureau De Change operators, selling $10,000 at a rate of N1,101/$. This move follows previous sales in March, where the rate was set at N1,251/$. The BDCs are directed to sell to eligible customers with a spread not exceeding 1.5% above the CBN rate. This decision comes after an appeal from the Association of Bureau De Change Operators of Nigeria to adjust the exchange rate below N1,251/$. The CBN also directed BDCs to commence depositing naira into designated CBN accounts from April 8, 2024.
