FG Rice Sale: ₦40,000/Bag for NIN Holders Only.
The Nigerian federal government has launched the sale of 30,000 metric tonnes of milled rice at ₦40,000 per 50kg bag, exclusively for individuals with a registered National Identification Number (NIN). This initiative aims to combat food inflation and ensure equitable distribution. Each person is allowed to purchase only one bag to prevent fraud. Public servants registered under the Integrated Payroll and Personal Information System (IPPIS) can also qualify. The program, announced by President Bola Tinubu and managed by Agriculture Minister Abubakar Kyari, is part of efforts to address food security issues exacerbated by global crises.
