President Tinubu has appointed four new Executive Directors for TCN.
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of four new executive directors for the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN). The appointment, valid for a renewable term of four years, aims to enhance the quality and quantity of electric power transmitted across the nation’s grid. The announcement was made by the President’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja. The appointment is intended to improve the reliability and increase the supply of electric power across the national grid. The appointed individuals are as follows:
- Engineer Oluwagbenga E.A. Ajiboye – Executive Director, Transmission Service Provider.
- Engineer Nafisatu Asabe Ali – Executive Director, Independent System Operations.
- Ochije Ogini Chukwuka – Executive Director, Finance & Accounts.
- Abiodun Foluso Afolabi – Executive Director, Human Resources & Corporate Services.

Ngelale further stated that the President expects complete commitment from the appointees to fulfill the administration’s visionary and broad-ranging energy plans. “The President anticipates that these Nigerians, appointed based on their experience, competence, qualifications, character, and dedication, will wholeheartedly dedicate themselves to realizing the innovative and expansive energy vision of his administration, while consistently delivering excellent service to the Nigerian people,” he said.
