PDP urges Oyetola to refrain from using Tinubu’s name to hinder governance.
The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cautioned former Governor Gboyega Oyetola against using President Bola Tinubu’s name to disrupt governance in the state. In a statement by the party’s state chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi, Oyetola was accused of attempting to destabilize Osun State by invoking the president’s name for personal gain. The PDP alleged that Oyetola’s actions were detrimental to the state’s peace and stability and undermined the presidential agenda for Osun State, the South West, and Nigeria as a whole.
The PDP further accused Oyetola of manipulating federal agencies to serve his interests and disrupting state-federal relations. They cited instances where Oyetola allegedly misused programs and resources intended for the benefit of all Osun residents to favor his own faction of the APC.
The statement warned against using federal agencies to intimidate state officials and called on the President to intervene to prevent further destabilization of the state.
The PDP urged Oyetola to cease his divisive actions and focus on promoting unity within his party.
They emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and good governance in Osun State and called on the President to address Oyetola’s activities to prevent any crisis.
