Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has stirred reactions online following her candid remarks about commercial sex work and survival.
Speaking during a recent episode of The Moraya Show, Shaffy Bello said she does not condemn women who engage in commercial sex work due to financial hardship or pressing responsibilities.
According to the actress, some women turn to such means to support their families, pay school fees, or survive difficult situations, stressing that she understands their struggles rather than judging them.
She, however, advised young women not to remain in that lifestyle permanently, urging them to see it only as a temporary means of survival and work towards better opportunities.
Shaffy Bello emphasized that regardless of one’s situation, self-respect and dignity should always be maintained.
