Following the killings in communities in Bokkos Local Government Area, Plateau State, former PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar took has called out President Bola Tinubu over the continuous Plateau killings and the failure of his security architecture, saying it has become a national endemic phenomenon.
In a post on X, Atiku urged Tinubu’s administration to restructure its security architecture in order to protect Nigerians.

Recall that an attack was launched by gunmen on Christian-dominated communities known as Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi areas of Plateau Tuesday April 1.
Following the Plateau killings, at least 140 people were killed by Gunmen who invaded isolated villages in Plateau state in north-central Nigeria over the weekend, according to officials and survivors on Tuesday April 1.
The Plateau killings was the latest instance of mass murders this year that have been associated to the farmer-herder conflict in the country.

Taking to his X account, he wrote “The failure of Bola Tinubu’s security architecture has now become an endemic nationwide phenomenon with repeated killings, more of which do not even make the headlines.
“Nigerians are now being forced to get used to such news of wanton killings, and I again offer my condolences to the bereaved communities of Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State and the affected families.
“I wish to restate my counsel to the Tinubu-led FG to reconfigure its security architecture to meet the needs of protecting the lives and properties of our people.”
