A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Otukpo, Benue State, Hon. Ejeh Udeh, has been shot dead at his residence by unidentified gunmen.

According to local reports, the attackers stormed his Ugboju home around midnight on Monday and opened fire in the presence of his family.
Eyewitnesses revealed that the assailants, who arrived on a motorcycle, had laid an ambush for him before carrying out the attack.
As soon as he entered his house, they surrounded him and opened fire.
His body has since been deposited at the Otukpo General Hospital morgue.
