A woman has been caught allegedly impersonating Sarah Adi, the Taraba State commissioner of finance in the renowned Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) examination.

The suspect, named in the recording as Leavitt Felix, is questioned by exam supervisors. Records indicate that she was performing the examination for Sarah Adi, the supervisors said.

SaharaReporters was also informed by a source with access to the documents that the Taraba commissioner hired the suspect, Felix, to sit for the professional examination on her behalf.

The suspect acknowledged in the video that she was taking the test on behalf of “Sarah Enoch Adi.” “Leavitt Felix” was her response when asked to name herself.

When pressed on why she was in the exam hall, the suspect replied simply, “Sarah.”

“Mention it louder; you’re writing for Sarah Adi, right?” the supervisor asks. “Who is she?”

Another supervisor said, “She has mentioned it. She said Sarah Enoch Adi.”

The supervisors concluded that the suspect had been dishonest about any link to the civil service after pointing out differences between her assertions and the information in their system records.

The woman insisted that Joshua hired her to take the test on Sarah’s behalf, claiming she didn’t know Sarah personally.

In the video, the supervisors made it apparent that if the suspect did not give all the information, they would report it to the police.

Recent Calls For Sarah Adi’s Sacking

Civil officials in Taraba State requested Governor Agbu Kefas in August to fire Mrs. Adi, the state’s finance commissioner, and Mr. Gauis Danjuma, the state’s accountant general, for suspected anomalies in the biometric verification process.

Speaking to reporters on the second day of their walkout, the workers were incensed that over 7,000 names—including those of directors and deputy directors—had been struck from the payroll as a result of the exercise.
